Frank Sinatra crooned about it, Springsteen found his girl there, Bon Jovi named an album after it, and the cast of the Jersey Shore went ballistic on it. However, no matter how famous (or infamous) they are, all New Jersey residents can agree on one thing; there’s nothing quite like watching the sun go down over the sprawling white sand of the New Jersey beaches.
At Move It Cube It, we’ve had the pleasure of spending a lot of time on that white sand and watching the sunsets that come with them. We’ve been moving our customers into and along the New Jersey coastline for over fifty years and we’ve learned not only about New Jersey’s gorgeous beaches, but also bit about the moving process itself. If you’re looking to move to Jersey, or just have, fuhgeddaboudit. With Moving It Cube It’s innovative services and this guide to the beaches, those little town blues will be melting away in no time.
Living In New Jersey: Enjoying the New Jersey Beaches
When we talk about enjoying the New Jersey beaches, that doesn’t necessarily mean hot guidos, fried Oreos, cool clubs and lots of tequila, unless you’re into that kind of thing. Enjoying the New Jersey beaches can have many interpretations – from a day with the family, to a night of romance under the stars, to partying (responsibly, we hope). Here is just a glimpse of the assortment of beaches you can find in New Jersey.
Asbury Park: For the Partiers
If you’re looking to capture the feel of old school Asbury Park, listen to a Springsteen album. If you’re looking for the new school Asbury beach, you might find a slightly different version. While parts of the beach still maintain the gritty vibe that “The Boss” brought so poignantly to life in his lyrics, things have come at least a bit of the way since 1973.
After bouncing back from Hurricane Sandy, the Asbury Park boardwalk has managed to thrive, thanks to its vibrant music scene and LBGT community. Hit up iconic venues like the Stone Pony and the Wonder Bar for a band and a beer, or Pascal and Sabine for French comfort food and cocktails. A little time in the sand and the ocean, and you’ll be the one sending “Greetings From Asbury Park.”
Ocean Grove Beach: For the Family
Oddly enough, if you grew up with Springsteen, you might find yourself gravitating more toward Ocean Grove Beach than Asbury Park these days. The kinder, gentler version. and more family friendly version. of its livelier neighbor, Ocean Grove Beach is Jersey’s Best, according to the locals. The attentive lifeguards, long stretches of white sand, and proximity to Nagle’s Apothecary Café old fashioned ice cream shop make Ocean Grove the perfect pick if your bringing the kids. Also, if you get a chance, take a tour of the surrounding neighborhood. It’s a short walk from the boardwalk, but its Victorian Mansions and Hamptonesque vibe will make you feel like your miles away.
Spring Lake Beach: For Relaxation
Hard as it may be to believe from watching reality show TV, there are places in Jersey where sophistication and elegance still mean something. The cleanest beach on the Jersey shore, and undoubtedly the classiest, Spring Lake Beach offers two miles of sparkling sand, a no-frills boardwalk, and a no-coolers on the beach rule to keep party-goers away – and when the party-goers are away, the sun worshippers do play. With the clear unpolluted blue waters of Spring Lake Beach, the experience is nothing short of magical.
